The CM-6200 with 22pins D38999 contains ruggedized managed gigabit Ethernet switches specially designed to operate reliably in harsh climatically and noisy electrical demanding environments (e.g. high altitude, extreme shock, and vibration, wide temperatures, humidity, dust, and water exposure, noisy EMI, dirty power) of military applications. The switches enable modularity and provide growth while delivering optimal performance for Size, Weight, Power, and Cost (SWaP-C) constrained military applications onboard military vehicles.

The platform can be equipped with a high-end OCXO for extreme clock hold-over capability in case the time base source is lost. This means minimum clock drift even in an environment with large temperature variations. A Li battery can be used to keep track of the time of day when the unit is not powered. The lifetime of the battery is more than 10 years. HSR is an alternative network redundancy protocol for Ethernet that provides seamless failover against the failure of a network component.
